Individualised Tuition & Support in Bournemouth and Surrounding Areas

As a dedicated tutor based in Bournemouth, I offer alternative educational provision for children and young people who are currently not in school. Whether due to medical reasons, anxiety, SEN needs, exclusion, or other circumstances, I provide a supportive, structured, and personalised learning environment that helps children re-engage with education at their own pace.

What is Alternative Provision?

Alternative provision refers to education that is arranged for students who, for various reasons, are unable to attend mainstream school. This may be short-term or longer-term, and is often needed to bridge gaps in learning, maintain academic progress, or prepare for reintegration into school or further education.

Who I Work With

I support children and young people who are:

• Awaiting a school placement or EHCP provision

• Experiencing anxiety or mental health challenges that make school attendance difficult

• Recovering from illness or injury

• Educated otherwise than at school (EOTAS)

• Excluded or at risk of exclusion

• Homeschooled and in need of structured academic tuition

A Tailored Approach

Every child is different, and so is every learning plan. I work closely with parents, carers, schools, and local authorities (when appropriate) to create a bespoke programme that supports each learner’s academic, emotional, and social development. My tuition can cover core subjects such as English and Maths, as well as project-based or interest-led learning depending on the child’s needs and abilities.
